Transfer Talk LATEST: Chelsea, Arsenal chase wantaway Stoke City midfielder
Arsenal and Chelsea are eyeing a move for wantaway Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi. The former Blackburn man has insisted that he wants to leave Stoke this season. Potters chairman Peter Coates has confirmed that the Frenchman wants to play at a higher level.
Incoming Stoke boss Mark Hughes will speak to the man himself, but it seems like the 24-year old clearly does not want to play at the level of Stoke City anymore. There has been interest from West Ham and Norwich, but N’Zonzi wants to step up a notch, something that is quite probable for him, considering that Arsenal and Chelsea have been monitoring N’Zonzi for two years.
Former Stoke boss Tony Pulis maintained that the player was heading for bigger things if his Potters career took off.
After his £3million move from Rovers, Pulis said at the time: “If he keeps improving, he can play for any of the top four or five teams.
